Guest Information on Rustic Woodz

  • Housekeeping/Cleaning including change of bed linen and bath/hand towels are done on alternate days between 11:00 AM and 01:00 PM. Please maintain the general cleanliness of your room in general.
  • A mineral water bottle is available on a chargeable basis.
  • Limited room service for changing or replenishing drinking water in the guest room is available.
  • Meals (lunch & dinner) can also be ordered, between 12:00 PM and 08:00 PM, from restaurants as per their actual food menu prices and delivery charges. The last order is taken at 07:00 PM for delivery at home. Delivery time is approximately 1:30 hours.
  • Meals, including breakfast & those ordered from outside, are served in the dining room of the main house. Meals are NOT served in the guest room by house staff. The same cannot be taken to the room by the guests themselves.
  • We do not serve alcohol. However, we place no restriction on the same being bought in by the guests themselves.
  • Shops of daily requirements such as dairy, grocery, vegetable & fruit shops are in the vicinity. There is a Hindu temple (Shali Mata) in the close vicinity of Rustic Woodz.
  • Smoking inside the room/washroom is prohibited.
  • A floor broom, mop, and cleaning cloth along with a wash bucket are kept in the living room of each set if required by the guest in case of liquid/water spill on wooden floors.
  • “Rustic Woodz” is a walk-up premise. There is no elevator.
  • To maintain a peaceful environment please refrain from loud music or noise from your room.
  • We are a pet-friendly accommodation – Hygienic & clean small pets are welcome at our property. We require the vaccination record of your pet as a pre-requisite. Adherence to our pet policy is mandatory. The management takes no responsibility for the guest’s pet(s). There is a Government veterinary hospital at 15 minutes’ drive from Rustic Woodz.
  • We do not levy any service charge on the bill amount. Tips are at the sole discretion of the guests and are distributed equally among the staff members. There is a tip box kept at the front desk.
  • We do not have a waiting/sleeping room. If you are arriving early morning, before the specified check-in time, please confirm the availability of your room with your host.
  • Extra luggage can be stored in the common room at the guest’s own risk.
  • Access to a Windows-based desktop computer with Internet access is available for all in-house guests.
  • Kindly refrain from downloading/uploading pictures, songs, videos, and/or heavy data or media files on/from the homestay computer. Our area is not serviced by a free internet line.
  • The wi-fi speed depends on the network and weather conditions. Management cannot be held responsible for any speed related issues. The full amount of Wi-Fi plan opted for will be charged regardless of internet speed & connectivity.
  • In-house laundry can be done within 24-36 hours, subject to weather conditions. Shoes and soiled clothes are not washed. Ironing service is not available. Additional charges apply.
  • Please DO NOT flush down the drain any condoms, sanitary napkins, infant/adult diapers, and/or anything made out of non-biodegradable material such as plastic or polythene bags as it leads to choking of sewerage lines.
  • Guests are requested to refrain from washing clothes in the washroom on their own as that leads to choking of the water lines & wastage of water, which is very scarce here. Please help us in conserving water.
  • Please switch off all electrical appliances when leaving your room unattended as a safety precaution.
  • Kindly read the room type, description, and inclusions carefully before booking through online/offline travel agents. Facilities & services offered on a direct booking may not be available if booked through travel agents, travel portals, tour operators, or third-party sites.
  • Some rooms have an additional bed placed in them for convenience/sitting purposes. Usage of the extra bed for sleeping purposes by any additional person would attract an extra charge as described on the tariff page.
  • Kindly refrain from using the open flame candles in the rooms. On request, we provide solar power rechargeable emergency lights, in case of power failure.
  • The property has limited desk hours. Please do contact prior to arrival regarding arrival time so as to ensure a smooth check-in.
  • Kindly do not invite strangers into our home; Rights of admission reserved.
  • Please let us know in advance, before your arrival at Rustic Woodz in Mashobra near Shimla, if you require a kitchen for personal cooking and the type of food you would be cooking. Do tell us if you have any food/spice/nut allergies.
  • Kindly refrain from picking flowers from the garden/pots.
  • Any damage/breakage or loss of items resulting because of a guest’s carelessness will be booked and will have to be paid in full by the guest.
  • At Rustic Woodz in Mashobra, we speak as well as understand Hindi, Punjabi, and English.
  • Please do not invite strangers/outsiders onto the premises.
  • All disputes are subject to Shimla jurisdiction only.
